Five simulations showing what changes the estimate
These results were obtained using the Calcula y Contrata calculator on 2 November 2026, with version 4 and the Barcelona provincial reference reviewed on 7 October 2026. They are model estimates, not average prices for Terrassa or quotes received from companies.
The volumes and distances are assumptions chosen for comparison. They do not relate to specific addresses or indicate how many rooms a home has. The 15 km used for the Terrassa–Sabadell example does not represent every journey between the two cities either.
All amounts in the table are in euros, excluding VAT and other taxes. They include standard loading and transport based on the answers shown. They exclude lifting equipment, permits, storage and special items. The company must confirm the scope, price and taxes after reviewing the move.

The range is calculated using the model’s ±40 % margin and a provincial reference floor of 390 €, which raises the lower end in scenario A. It is not a statistical or confidence interval and does not set contractual limits on the company’s quote.
Scenario B provides the comparison: keeping 20 m³ and 5 km, selecting stairs increases the result by 171,25 €; adding standard packing increases it by 214,06 €. Changing only the distance from 5 to 15 km adds 12,50 €. These differences describe the calculations in these examples; they are not surcharges that a company is required to apply.
Check the inventory and access at both properties
Separate what you are taking from what is staying. Include boxes in storage rooms and the contents of furniture you will not transport. Check quantities and measurements before treating the volume as final.
Note the floors at both properties, the usable lift dimensions and the flights of stairs. Check whether large items fit through doors and around corners; saying there is a lift does not, on its own, settle the access question.
Explain what you will pack yourself and what you expect the company to do. Identify dismantling, reassembly and delicate or special items separately so they can be reviewed in the quote.
Parking reservations and access to restricted streets
A parking reservation for the move must be requested at least seven working days in advance. Signs must be in place at least 48 hours beforehand; the applicant must then notify the Municipal Police.

To enter a pedestrian or restricted area by vehicle for a move, first obtain the moving permit, then request temporary access. This procedure does not authorise entry into the Low Emission Zone (ZBE).

Before settling on a date, agree with the company who will handle the permits, who will put up the signs and which costs are included. Check the current conditions and permitted times on the municipal procedure pages: meeting the application deadline does not replace authorisation.

Share the same inventory, access details for both properties, dates and requested services with each company. Check that each quote details loading and transport, packing, dismantling and reassembly, permits and any additional services, together with the total price and taxes. If the inventory or access changes, ask how this affects the price before accepting.
